{Fashion} Spring Fever/Mixing Patterns

I'm ready for Spring!? Anyone else? Since we still have cold here right now I am bringing in my floral prints so I can pretend that Spring is near. Floral print is a fave of mine lately. Lucky it's a huge trend right now.
I used to be scared of mixing prints. Well, not scared more like had no interest. There are some patterns that when put together are just not good. I watched a fashion segment last year on mixing patterns and learned some valuable things. When mixing patterns you want to make sure that one pattern is smaller so it's better contrasted next to your bold pattern.  A small stripe or polka dot for example, like what I am wearing here. It's not too crazy and out there. Very subtle but still bold at the same time.

  1. A few years ago you wouldn't have dreamed of mixing different prints but as you say, they are everywhere. I like the way you put a small print with a large one. I wonder if the background colour needs to be the same? Great outfit!
