Fashion Friday {I'm moving on up}

Wow it has been such a crazy month. There's been so much going over here. I can't believe we are moving soon. I've been starting to stress. I'm not going to lie. PCS season always stresses me out. I just want to purge almost the whole house to make the transition easier. We have to find a house, we h have to transfer schools in the middle of the year, we have to find a new church. It's different this time with not really being attached to the normal Army. I have no what to expect. The unknown freaks me out a little bit. I'm excited for new adventures but I need a little bit of comfort. The next few months before the move I'm going to really be focusing in on what I want to get out of this next move. There might be some new and exciting things coming up. So stay tuned!

A Walk to Remember

Today is pregnancy and infant loss awareness day. In fact the whole month is about raising awareness about such a difficult topic. It happens a lot more than you think and there's not really an open dialogue about it. Our family has been dealing with it for 12 years now and it's still the same thing. People don't know what to say, how to act, or what to do. They don't know how to be there for their friends or family who have lost a child. Even if you have lost a child whether its from miscarriage, stillbirth or in our case a child who was only 45 minutes old. You may not know how to navigate through your own feelings. They can chance day to day, hour by hour. My advice about it is allow yourself to feel however you are going to feel. There is no right way to grieve. You can't do what everyone else expects of you or even try to please other people through this time. You can only honor your child the best way you know how. For myself I was blessed to find a great support group about 2 years after my son had died that really helped me sort out my own feelings.

There's also some great events to memorialize your loved ones. I was so glad to come across one in Pooler once a year. Memorial Health puts on a A Walk to Remember every year at Tom Triplett Park. There's a time where people can share and they have hearts set up that you can write your childs name on and tack it to their wall then you take a walk around the lake at sunset and it's just beautiful.

This years walk to remember will be held at:

100 Tom Triplett Road, Pooler Ga 31322
October 19th at 6:30pm

Fashion Friday {Casual Friday}

Do you ever just have so much stuff on your plate that you don't feel like doing anything? Say anything? Just want to sit in silence without all the noise and chaos. That's the kinda day I'm having so I'm just going to leave this casual fall outfit here. Enjoy!

Fashion Friday {Oktoberfest}

I know its not exactly Halloween yet. But I was feeling the October vibes. All the Halloween movies are playing. Even the weird ones which I got a front row seat to at the nail salon this week. If you haven't seen the old cult classic "Trolls" definitely check that out. But watch it on mute like I did. The weirdest thing I have ever witnessed.
I've been enjoying pumpkin spice vanilla chai teas, and king size candy bars in preparation for the season. I now just need to attack some decorating in the house with all these pumpkins and I'm good to go. Happy Friday everyone!
