End of the year

I'm ending this year on a good note. I'm starting next year with new kind of changes. I'm going to make the steps I need to maintain a less stressful life. As we end our time here in this place and get ready to move on I want to move on in a good mindset.

I know I have talked about New Years resolutions being dumb in the past. Now I look at it like this:  Give yourself a few attainable goals and crush those goals. If you make larger lists you'll feel horrible like you can't get anything right. But If you make just 3 things you want to change in the new year. Something to better yourself, so that you can grow. There's always something new you can learn.

2022 you were good but we're going to do better!

Cheers to 2023!

Peace

Nothing like Christmas break to finally get a breather. Minus the freezing temperatures that is. That just leaves time for Christmas movies and being cozy.

Matthew 11:28

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

Eating your feelings

A phrase I've heard so much this year. "Eating my feelings" Such an insane year and we all feel it. We're all unsettled. It's in the air. There's always bad news around the corner and we are just hanging on for dear life.

I  miss the simple days of taking my notebook, pen and cd player (sometimes a cute artsy hat) to the backyard to write my feelings.

Now there's no time. All there is work on top of work and just enough energy to climb into bed maybe watch a show and then fall asleep. Only to dream about all the things you are stressed about and waking up with a soar jaw from all grinding your teeth all night.

These just could be thoughts of a mom who is "single momming" it right now.  You work, then come home to more work. Cleaning, special projects, kids homework, their projects. The monotonous nightly routine just to get up and do the whole thing again.

I understand why people LIVE for fridays.

Just a thought.

Giving

This time of the year everyone is always rushing around, stressing about the countdown til Christmas. I hope you take the time to be still, pause and appreciate what you have instead of always wanting more. Do for others this holiday. Donate your time and volunteer for something. Don't let it just end at Christmas time. Let it be an all year thing.
