Fashion Friday {Adventure Awaits}

Well the time has come to let you guys in on our little secret. No I am not pregnant! As most of you know or even if you don't know. The army will move you every few years usually. Sometimes less, sometimes more. We've gotten thirteen months in Hawaii when we were supposed to get three years. We've gotten two and half years in most places. We knew our time was imminent here in Georgia.
We originally thought we would get North Carolina turns out it was not a position in North Carolina but in New Hampshire. Then we thought for sure we would get Germany. Once I got on board with that I searched all over trying to get as much information as I could get. I searched youtube videos and instagram. I even reached out to other blogger/army wives who were stationed there and asked for the low down.
Then they basically said No you're not getting Germany. I admit I was getting excited about traveling all the other countries for really cheap. Unfortunately, that is how the military works. You have to hurry up and wait. You get your hopes up for cool places. You also get stationed in places you never even wanted to go to in the first place. I've learned you just have to make the best of your duty station. Explore all around the area and make great friends. I honestly can say that I've had fun in every duty station. It's been an adventure!
With that said we finally have come down on orders. After three full years here we now only have months left to enjoy. But this will be the longest place we lived in the fifteen years that he's been in the Army.
He got the position we originally hoped for but didn't think we would actually get. We were told by some that it's actually really hard to get this position. He will be teaching ROTC at the University of Colorado.
Yep! We are moving back to Colorado in a few short months. We last lived in Colorado Springs 2009-2012. After 8 years away we are coming back to the Rocky Mountains.
Excited to see my old friends and see what the new adventure holds for the whole family as well as my music, fashion, and photography career!

Fashion Friday {Ready for Fall}

Hello All! I hope you have had an awesome week.
If you are having a stressful week then just think today is Friday and then you have the weekend!
That's how I've been feeling. Stressed out. I had to put myself on a mental health day yesterday.
Do you ever socialize too much? Does your face ever hurt from talking too much?
I've definitely been dealing with that lately and I just needed a day to be quiet and mindlessly watch TV. I highly recommend days like that. You need time to reset. To clear your head. To stop over thinking all of life's problems. Here's to a relaxing weekend with the family.

Cheers!!

Fashion Friday {Working Girl}

I am here reporting on this lovely Friday a little late in the day. I've had a very, very busy week. I'm just glad I made it through. We got the call on Monday afternoon that little man got into Preschool. So we rushed around to find him last minute supplies so he was ready to start on Tuesday. I finally had an answer to what my life was going to look like. Except I still had no idea what was coming my way. I was having my mixed emotions about the new normal and potentially being home alone with no kids. I however got thrown into a very crazy schedule.
I had been in talks with my friend who owns a boutique downtown. I honestly thought it wasn't going to work out because of my not so open schedule. The shifts would've worked but the travel time would not. Luckily she was willing to work with me. I immediately scheduled an interview just a mere three hours after I dropped both kids off at school. I had a little alone time and went shopping and then downtown.
Then this girl who has not worked an actual job in 10-11 years got hired on the spot. The rest of the week has been crazy. Training, learning how to multi-task again, car line. Now it's Friday and I'm ready to for the weekend break with my kids. I might stay in on the couch for a good long while. But we'll see skies the limit.

I'm really excited for some new things I got coming your way.
I'm going to have a focus on some home decor soon. So keep an eye on what's to come!

Fashion Friday {Back to school}

We are back in school. I got one kid home and one in school. Only two days this week but it's made a difference. I never really realized how much I thrive on routine. While I hate having to set my alarm again it's not all bad.
I got together with all my mom friends for brunch to pray for all the kids at school. If you don't have something like that I highly recommend it. Such a great thing to have! A group of great women to hang out with, eat with, and who will pray for you, your kids, your marriage etc.
Back to that mom life. I'm planning play dates until I hear if little man got into preschool or not. Getting activities sorted out until we get told we are moving. Living that military life where you area always in some kind of limbo.
My fellow military spouses know exactly what I'm talking about.
You would think after all these years that I would be used to the unknown.
We thought we knew exactly where we were going next and when. We started to get excited. We started researching and of course getting our hopes up. Only for it to completely change and now we are back to having no clue. I guess we have to practice that living day to day life. That "live like there's no tomorrow life". I'll let you know how that turns out.
Happy Friday!
