Fashion Friday {Fall is here.. oh wait nevermind}

 I know it might still be above 80 degrees almost everywhere I look. But I figured I would start getting these fall looks out so that everyone can pretend its nice and cozy. Even maybe prepare themselves a little for things they might like to get for fall. I hope I pretended well enough for you to believe I was cold. Because I was the complete opposite. This dress I found on clearance. I love a good deal. I was unsure for awhile but it's really a comfortable sweater material.
If you read our news a few weeks ago. We will be moving to Colorado very soon so I'm preparing myself for snow again. I haven't lived in a cold climate in almost 5 years now. We shall see if I can adapt again. If you have some cool places to explore in the Boulder area please reach out in the comments. I like to plan ahead. I want to start a bucket list so I can hit the ground running.

Fashion Friday { Blogiversary}

It's my blogiversary. I've been blogging for 7 years now. Wow! Time has gone by so fast.
I originally got into blogging to document all the things I'm interested in. I started with fashion, then got into DIY projects and home decor. Then had some fun lifestyle adventures. Family vacations.
I posted a lot in the beginning. Then stepped back. I've had great opportunities, met some awesome people throughout the journey. I can't wait to see what happens next.

P.S If you love a good giveaway. Head on over to my instagram @ashley.reed
and enter to win a $50 gift card to RMC Boutique.
All the rules are on the post.
Good Luck!
Thank you for continuing to read what I have to say. I hope you had as much fun as I have these seven years!

Fashion Friday {Summer Daze}

Summer is officially no more! We've all gotten used to our new normal now. Well, almost there's more things starting this month and it's looking like it's going to be just as crazy as this month.
Starting us off is Hurricane Dorian.
We got a mandatory evacuation early this week. So we decided to take advantage and go visit family before we move. It was also a chance to give them a bunch of stuff that we didn't want anymore so we could start the PCS purge. We do it before every move. You get rid of junk, you have yard sales and you trash a bunch of stuff. The month of September is filling up with visitors, school activities, performances, etc. The PCS countdown begins now. It's going to be hard to leave this place!
Hope everyone has been staying safe during the hurricane and there is no damage.
Hopefully our last hurricane before we move on to the next place .

Home is where the heart is {Guest Feature}

One day I had an idea. While I love home decor and I love giving home tours of each houses we've lived in. I've been slacking for the last few years. I thought to myself while I was visiting a friends home recently. I'm always complimenting friends on their home decor. I have a handful of friends who just have amazing homes. They always find random things from thrift stores, yard sales, even the side of the road. They bring it home polish it up and make fit so nicely into their home. Not only have I been inspired by their homes and their unique ideas. I was inspired to do guest featured posts about their homes on the blog. My first featured friend is Jessica. I first met Jessica in a women's bible study and I later took Christmas photos for her of her sweet daughters. I loved how she found unique pieces for her home. I knew she was going to be one of the friends that I asked.
I hope you are inspired as much as I have been.

Jessica used this clever way to camouflage her electrical chords from her TV.

Jessica got water color pictures done of all their previous homes. Then paired them with these inexpensive white frames from Wal-Mart. An awesome and unique way to personalize your home decor.
