12 days of Christmas Outfits : Day 5 {90's}

 Don't you love a transitional piece? I bought this romper this summer and it's so comfortable and cute. Easily transitional to winter, just layer it with a tee shirt, sweater, tights, and boots, done and done. Do you have a fun transitional piece?

12 Days of Christmas Outfits: Day 4 {Hipster}

 I can't wear this plaid wrap jacket without thinking of Scotland. It's so comfy and cozy and perfect for going to church during December, or a casual Christmas outfit. Let's face it the best Christmas outfit is a casual one. It's fun to dress up but if you are going from one families house to another you need to be able to move. Plus a fun quote on a basic white tee is the best! "Girls can do anything" it's true now and it will be true tomorrow.

12 Days of Christmas Day 3: {Office Christmas Party}

I got this dress a few years ago from Ross. I have another similar dress that I also got from Ross that I wore in a wedding. I knew that it would be a good deal. It's perfect for an office Christmas party. This dress is super comfortable and the the layered wrap detail is very flattering. It camouflages any little mom pooch. You also can't beat this color for this time of year. It's so vibrant and rich! You definitely stand out!

12 Days of Christmas Outfits: Day 2 Nutcracker

Today is a more casual comfortable outfit for Christmas
The sweater reminded me of candy land or the nutcracker and the four realms. Just big pastel colored lollipops and sweetness.
Super comfy and cozy perfect for lounging around Christmas Day or going out for a Christmas movie.

12 Days of Christmas outfits: Day 1 {Living Generously}

 Ever since we went debt free it became even more important to stick to a budget. We never went crazy, but we having a budget has allowed us to buy for other people. It has allowed us to have extra to be generous with other people.

Honestly not just over the holidays, all year round.

Nothing beats the feeling of giving to others. Especially when they are in need.
There are so many ways to be generous.
There are organizations like operation Christmas child, where you pack a shoebox full of gifts and toys and they send them to orphanages in other countries.
Some places have Christmas trees with little kids faces on them and you can buy Christmas gifts for kids when their parents can’t afford it.
You can also gift your time. Helping elderly people or sick people mow their lawn or do house projects.
Some churches hand out food or there are soup kitchens that feed the homeless.

People tip extremely large amounts to unsuspecting servers. Most places they live mainly off their tips. That’s a huge blessing to those in the service industry.

Do you have an abundant amount of clothes that are just taking up space? Or an extra car that you don’t really need. A teen mom might be in need of a vehicle to transport her newborn baby to drs appointments or to her new job.

We can’t pass a homeless person while driving without my son asking to give them money. It doesn’t matter to him what their sign might say. He loves to give and be kind to others.

We can definitely learn something from kids.

I hope you find it in your heart to give in some capacity during the holidays. And I hope that it sparks a fire in you to be generous all the time. It really is the best!

Christmas decor 2021

 So the last two years I’ve desperately wanted to decorate for fall. I’m obsessed with my cute little pumpkins. Then I wait too long or overwhelm my mind with different decor ideas and then I don’t execute those ideas.

I swore I would make it happen but sure enough right before thanksgiving even started my whole family
Starts playing Christmas music trying to push out my pumpkins and any dreams I had of cute little decor ideas for them. The time came for thanksgiving to be over and out comes the boxes from the basement. I don’t recall giving my permission at all! Simultaneously had a Christmas tree I was forced to decorate and my little baby pumpkins still on display for all to see on my fireplace mantle. They looked so happy and proud. But without a doubt Christmas took over. Overpowering with it’s bright lights,  pretty ornaments, egg nog, and special music. Not to mention the peer pressure from my children.

Then I gave in! I did. I gave in to peer pressure. But then I was quickly abandoned in the decorating department. I stayed up late and did the whole thing myself.
So here for your viewing pleasure. I now present Christmas decor 2021!

Cheers!
