Stronger than a 90's trend

You ever wonder when they will be done with this 90's trend. I don't hate it! It's make me very nostalgic. I watched "The Last Blockbuster" on Netflix. The "KID 90"  and "The Orange years: The Nickelodeon story" Documentaries on Hulu. It's fun to think about how simple things used to be. No Social Media, no pressure to be perfect all the time. We could go outside and play for hours without watching TV. We used our imagination. Going to a Blockbuster was a special thing. I loved spending time picking out all the fun movies. I think that's why I'm such a big TV/Movie junkie. I miss all the fun Nickelodeon shows as well.

What was your favorite thing from the 90's ?

Fashion Friday {Just call me a Nashie and call it a day!}

As you can see I am a week late in my fashion post.
Last week got away from me because we had a little sleepover party for R's birthday. What should've been an easy party ended up being a big ordeal. I can't help myself! Even with the smallest, simplest part. I have to add my little touches to make it special. Of course my battery would be dead when it came time to take pictures. All I got was my phone pictures. I was pretty bummed!

I got this tshirt at the ZZ Ward concert this last October! It is by far the best tee shirt I've ever worn. If I could get these type of shirts for whenever I go on tour that would be amazing!

Anyway, on to the Friday festivities!
The hubby is leaving soon and so he decided to whisk me away to Nashville for the weekend!! I have the best hubby in the world. Just sayin!!  Can't wait to do some more exploring there with my little family. Happy Friday everyone!!

Fashion Friday {Cheers to 2018}

Wow! It's been a fast week and it's already another year. A fresh new start on life. I love fresh starts! I love being organized, purging things I don't need, a clean house. I love setting new goals for myself and pushing hard to accomplish them.
This year I promised myself less screen time, read more "real" books {hence less screen time}. I really want to develop more content that I enjoy putting out there. I want to live my most authentic life. Which means being honest with what I'm posting on the blog as well as my instagram account. Once my music challenge was over I was struggling with what else to post. I was riding the wave of being consistent with fashion and music. Once I took that break it was hard to get back on the wagon. Kind of like exercising for me. So let's get on this 2018 bandwagon of finishing what we start.

This year I'm headed to the recording studio for the first time. I'm not sure where that will lead but we will see. I plan on getting my DIY home projects started and finished and blogged for you all to check out. I plan on doing some fun fashion challenges on top of the weekly fashion Friday posts.
On top of all that adventures. Adventures is a MUST this year.

I came across a verse this week. I thought it was so encouraging and perfect for me this year and hopefully for you.

Romans 12:6
"Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly. "

We were given gifts. Time to let them shine!

Fashion Friday {Thanksgiving and Black Friday}

 I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving! We had a quiet one at home. I wanted it as stress free as possible. No guests meant no one to impress with a super clean house and a million homemade recipes. I took a cue from one of my friends and got some microwavable dishes that tasted just like homemade. Then got a small turkey breast that was just enough for us. Found an awesome recipe on Pinterest that is officially our new turkey recipe. It was that good! Then the boys fell asleep. Caleb barely got through dinner before he started to fall asleep. Then since we had nothing else to do. Riley really wanted to experience some Black Friday shopping. So we went over to Target right when the doors opened and the line was HUGE! I've worked at Target before for on Black Friday and I've done way later in the day. But I've never stood in line for a sale. It was crazy everyone running for all the deals. I was there for one deal and one deal only. I wanted Outlander season 2 on blu-ray. Yet, I still managed to snatch up some other stuff while we were there.
Now, today on the real Black Friday I find myself using all my self control to not buy more stuff. I've been staying away from the ads, emails, and sites. I've stayed at home so I won't be tempted to go into the stores. It's been soo hard! I wish you brave souls all the luck in the world while you go out on your Black Friday shopping!

"May the odds ever be in your favor".

Fashion Friday {Boho Fall Fashion}

 Let's talk about podcasts for a second. I know people have probably been into them for awhile now. I don't get a chance to listen to them very often. But it's nice when you are cleaning the house or driving to work. I came across the worst podcast ever this year with Christine Lakin from Step by step. I loved my TGIF shows back in the day so I was super excited about all these interviews with these celebrities that I love. Basically they get together and talk about their worst experiences. Such as worst date ever, worst job etc. It's like getting a behind the scenes VIP pass to all things 90's tv. I've saved Anna Faris's podcast but haven't had a chance to listen yet. I need some more to listen to. Comment with your suggestions for me!
Happy Friday!!

Fashion Friday

 I'm off in Texas working hard at this Model and Talent expo. I wanted to leave this cute little dress right here. I'm going to be honest. I had some troubles at first with this dress. It's clearly my first wrap dress. I couldn't find the hole that you feed the strap through. Once I figured it out on my own. I was good to go. Love the color its so rich and the floral isn't too busy. Perfect for spring and summer!

Fashion Friday Casual Friday

Sometimes you just need a little casual attire for your Fashion Friday. I love this floral print on a Tshirt dress. I love prints in general you can wear it by itself and it's all your accessorizing in one. You like to keep it simple and basic? Just wear something with print. It gives the eyes something to look at. Tshirt dresses are great for the spring and summer because it's so effortless. Just an extension of wearing a tshirt basically. What's your go favorite thing to wear in the summer?
