Fashion Friday

It's been a pretty lazy week. That's right I took the entire week off from the majority of all my responsibilities. I have 6-7 weeks before we leave Georgia for good so I needed to take some much needed ME time! So don't be afraid to do that with the stress of the holidays. In fact I highly recommend it. I caught up on shows, wrote some songs, took several days to fold laundry and put it away. It was nice to not be rushed around. Especially after that 4-day disney trip which will be blogged about hopefully next week. I definitely have some tips and what not to do to share with you all. In the meantime,... Enjoy your weekend!

Fashion Friday {Ready for Fall}

Hello All! I hope you have had an awesome week.
If you are having a stressful week then just think today is Friday and then you have the weekend!
That's how I've been feeling. Stressed out. I had to put myself on a mental health day yesterday.
Do you ever socialize too much? Does your face ever hurt from talking too much?
I've definitely been dealing with that lately and I just needed a day to be quiet and mindlessly watch TV. I highly recommend days like that. You need time to reset. To clear your head. To stop over thinking all of life's problems. Here's to a relaxing weekend with the family.

Cheers!!

Fashion Friday {summer lovin}

Summer has officially started! Kids are out of school and I no l onger have to set my alarm clock. We've been getting the patio all ready to "enjoy" during the summer. As much as we can with the heat and humidity and mosquitoes. It's hard to make decisions when it might be our last summer here. You never know with the army. I'm going to start blogging about things to do around here all the cool places to eat. Now that it's summer there should be more time to write.
What are you doing this summer vacation?

Fashion Friday {Weekend getaway}

I am so happy to have my man home with me and we can have a little getaway for veterans day weekend. Headed off to my favorite place. While it's still hot and cold in Georgia it's pretty cold in Nashville. So we can pretend for a weekend that it's actually Fall. Where is your favorite place to visit?

Fashion Friday

 I'm preparing to leave for California next week to finish up recording my EP! I'm so excited, stressed, running around all crazy. Basically the normal! So much work and planning went into this and it's a lot of puzzle pieces to maneuver! But I couldn't be more happy with how things turned out or are turning out! I'm just super anxious for it to be here already. 4 more days til I leave! Make sure you follow me on @ashleyreedmusic so you can see all the behind the scenes stuff. That's always super fun! I can't wait!! Oh and October 1st is when my single will be released! It's all finally happening! AAhhhhhhh! I hope you guys are excited too!

Fashion Friday {Bring on the rain}

So I've almost completely broken up with Facebook. My private account that is. I've been having a lot of soul searching on social media. Also hearing a lot of peoples opinions on how no one can relate to each other anymore. No one knows how to talk to anyone anymore because they are constantly texting, messaging etc. I also don't like and I never liked how people will check my facebook before picking up a phone to call me or to visit me. So I am doing my part. I'm boycotting! I'm taking a stand. Social media will have its purpose for me. But if you want to know me for real you have to pick up a phone. You got to pay a visit! I hope this idea spreads but we live in strange times and I fear it's going to get worse.

What is your opinion on social media and human life?

Fashion Friday {Let's get real}

Ok, I have to confess something to you. I'm not really a shopaholic. I can actually go months without looking online at a store. I can avoid certain aisles in stores. I can actually go into Target and come out with nothing. I'm not always looking for the great deal. Usually how it happens is I get bored of what I have in my closet. Not because I love spending money. Because putting outfits together is art for me. I know I've probably said it before but it's true. Fashion is a creative outlet to me. I love pairing patterns, textures, styles. So when I feel I need a refresher I will venture out. Like getting new brushes or paint for an artist. Or new pencils and paper for a writer. So I'm not going to be posting about sales going on. I might share the awesome deals I got. Because who doesn't love a good deal. Basically! I'm not your typical fashion blogger. I like to use what I got. I like to be frugal. I have a shopping rule now. I can only buy it if I can make 3 or more outfits out of that one item. It's served me well. You have probably seen these jeans a million times over in my posts. You've definitely seen these shoes. Because I am NOT a shoe addict! This bodysuit was clearance at Forever 21 and these lace kimono was maybe $10 at Ross! If that's your type of shopping then follow along with me. Let's be creative and frugal together!

Happy Friday!

Fashion Friday

I've been collecting a lot of books that I want to get through this summer. Are you into summer reading programs? I'm even contemplating suspending my cable for the summer. Save money and get a much needed break from the screen. Not sure how well that will go over because I am a tv junkie. But I love books!
So far on my list:

Outlander: Drums of Autumn
The Shack
Harry Potter and the cursed child
Lioness arising
Without Rival

Anymore suggestions to my list? I'm a pretty fast reader!
