Fashion Friday: {Army Wife Strong}

One month down of the husbands deployment. So far I've been taking care of business like a boss. First on the agenda drive myself and the kids to Alabama to visit family. To be honest only the second road trip by myself with the kids. I got it down to a T now! Lots of downloaded movies on ipad, lots of music, lots of snacks.

Second on the agenda was go to California to have my dreams come true. Hence, me being missing in action for the last couple weeks. If you have been following my journey you would know it started almost two years ago. I went to Nashville for my friends for my birthday. I decided right then no more of this woe is me business. If I wanted to get anywhere I would have to take the first baby step. It was a baby step but it felt like a huge step for me. I started an instagram challenge when I got home. I would sing every day for a year and post it. Talk about it putting yourself out there. It was scary but so rewarding. It lead to change my approach in songwriting. I started really fine tuning my skills and finding my niche of music. It paid off because my next step was going to the Model and Talent Expo. Every one of my baby steps lead me to this place I'm in now. I met C-Ray and Marc of OnKey Entertainment and Indasoul Entertainment. I couldn't have asked for a better team to work with. They don't try and make me into something I'm not. They encourage and support my ideas and my talent. I can't wait to share my new music with everyone. Thank you guys for all the support and love you've given me thus far!

Have a great weekend!!

P.S If this place looks familiar to you it's because it was used in the movie Big Fish

Fashion Friday

Well deployment is in full swing now. So far we are surviving but the emotions are high! I couldn't imagine what it would feel like with teenagers and a deployment. That we might not survive!
I was inspired by Clare Bowen's character "Scarlett O'conner  in Nashville. One of my favorite shows. The hubby was spontaneous in finding this cute little spot to take pictures and the lighting was so great. Happy Friday !! Until next time!

Fashion Friday Hipster Rocker

I've been getting good use out of this super cute tunic dress/top from Agnes and Dora.
When I saw this print I had to have it. When I saw it had pockets I was over the moon! It's so versatile because it's black and white. But I love wearing with my favorite fedora hat for that pop of color. Perfect Fall look if you ask me!
Check in with my friend Amanda {Link above} if you want one of these in a different print.
Who doesn't love pockets!?
Have a great weekend!

Fashion Friday Nostalgic for the 90's

Top: Forever21,Dress: H&M, Boots:Belk, Choker: Wetseal
It's hard to get excited for holiday weekends being an army wife. It doesn't always mean you get to have them with you. You can't really ever make plans because it's never a sure thing if they will get those days off. You have to get used to doing things on your own. That's what I've been doing for the last 11 years. BUT we do get this weekend off and we are headed to California. However, I have to share him with his family because his little brother is getting married. I have to immediately send him off to the bachelor party. So we will still be spending the holiday weekend away from each other. Go figure!

Thought I would get some more 90's fashion out while it's still on trend. I paired two of my faves together floral and lace and came up with this. Added a choker and some braids and voila!
What are your plans this weekend? Stay safe and remember to follow me on Instagram to follow along with all my California shenanigans.

Fashion Friday

It's been such a long week. Between car issues, sick kids, working and taking care of the house. It's been nuts trying to keep up with everything. The beginning of the week was really exciting though. I finally signed a deal with a couple music producers that are going to take me to the next step in my music career. I'm just beyond excited to just be able to record my own music in a recording studio. My songs are like my babies they are an extension of me. I can't wait to share them with the all of you.

Fashion Friday

It's my last weekend before I'm off to Dallas! I've been so nervous but this last week I've had this peace. I'm done worrying and stressing about it. I'm just going to do me. That's all I can do right? Be myself and do my best.
Anxious to see what happens though, like anxious to see how a movie or tv series ends. If you want to follow me along during the trip make sure you are following me on all my social media platforms.

When I was down in Orlando last month I picked up some stuff from Forema Boutique. This was one of my favorite tops from there. I love the floral with the black. One of my favorite combinations. It's very feminine but edgy too! I paired it with some high waisted jeans and black booties and called it a day! Love how it came out.
