Conversations with a six year old

Riley: We all need to be together not a part

Daddy:  We are all together you are so close to me I could spit on you

Riley: Don't! I bet you can't it would fall on the floor.

Daddy: Don't underestimate somebody with gapped teeth.

Riley: Do I look like an indian or a witch?

Mommy: You look like a nun.

Riley: What's a nug?

{Watching TV}
Mommy: We haven't seen it in such a long time.....

Riley: Ugh I shouldn't have asked.

{Opens gate}
Riley: I opened it with my head!!

Mommy: Riley why are you not in the shower?

Riley: I was getting in the shower.

Mommy: How long have you been up there?

Riley: 14 hours

{Talking about playing with her friends}
Riley: Every time we play altogether the nonsense starts.

NASHVILLE {PART 1 - RYMAN AUDITORIUM}

I've been feeling nostalgic for our trip to Nashville this summer. Then quickly realized I never blogged about it. Yikes !!
Only one of our cars could get shipped to  Hawaii. So we took that as a sign to do a  road trip cross country to leave our other car. Nashville was one of our many steps. But definitely one of my favorites!! How can you not fall in love with Nashville ?!
Our first stop was the Ryman auditorium of course. I remember one of my favorite movies growing up was coal miners daughter. That was the first time I ever saw ryman auditorium. It's so full of musical history and movie history. Such a gorgeous venue! We were able to meet up with my sister and brother in law. We are all such big music lovers so it was the perfect sibling trip to do together. They have a few little fun extras like record your own song or cover one from their list. So Emily and I decided to record Patsy Cline's "Crazy". They have a little recording studio inside the auditorium. We got a couple tries and they gave us two cds. This place a must see if you are stopping in Nashville!

Fashion Friday {Plaids and Boots}

In Hawaii the cooler days are far and in between. I have to take advantage as much as I can and grab those comfy plaids and cute boots. I've been playing around with mixing patterns and colors. Let's face it stripes can almost go with anything especially the smaller lines.  How do you like to pair your plaids and flannels?
