Fashion Friday

It's been a pretty lazy week. That's right I took the entire week off from the majority of all my responsibilities. I have 6-7 weeks before we leave Georgia for good so I needed to take some much needed ME time! So don't be afraid to do that with the stress of the holidays. In fact I highly recommend it. I caught up on shows, wrote some songs, took several days to fold laundry and put it away. It was nice to not be rushed around. Especially after that 4-day disney trip which will be blogged about hopefully next week. I definitely have some tips and what not to do to share with you all. In the meantime,... Enjoy your weekend! 

Fashion Friday

As promised I was going to be writing more and blogging more. I got a lot of things in the works that I'm excited to share with you! A lot of DIY Projects, a home tour, travel and of course more fashion. It feels good to get my motivation back. I just got to get those creative juices flowing again. I thought that I got my amazing multi-tasking brain back after Caleb. He's four years old now and It's not quite there yet. 

What type of things do you want me to blog about? It's been over a year since I did a DIY post I believe. Even longer since I did a home tour. That's what is great about being a military spouse. Every new house we move into is a new clean slate for me to work on. As the years go by though I've become more indecisive. I might blame that on pinterest. There are way more options for inspiration now that it's overwhelming. 

Now I am focusing on the inexpensive things which is more achievable to me now. I'm sure it would be to you as well. I hope you continue to check back in with me on all that.

 We've made it to February! My birthday month! Is it strange that I'm more excited for my trip to California to record then I am for my birthday! This last year was insane and full of some awesome stuff. But I feel like this year might top it. I'm hoping it's a life changing year! 

Perfect timing to wear this top again. It's one of my faves! "Girl Power". It's such a great time to be a woman these days. So much empowerment going around it's hard to not get catch some of those vibes! Happy Friday !!

Fashion Friday {Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays}

 I can't say "Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays" without singing the Nsync song in my head. You know you are now too! We are staying home this Christmas instead of traveling to see family. I really enjoy the simplicity of just doing the holidays as a family. No chaos and no stress. I can drink all the egg nog and the only one who will complain is the hubby. Between the Reed family birthdays and christmas I really love sitting on the couch {egg nog in hand} marathoning all the Christmas movies I can take. Once Christmas is over you have no real reason to watch them.

Fashion Friday

I am currently running around like a crazy person getting stuff ready for a community yard sale. I have only had one other yard sale before and like on person came. I hope tomorrow goes well.  I'm putting a lot more time and effort into this one. Don't you just love getting organized and get rid of stuff. I live for that stuff. Since we are constantly moving from state to state I have to have a fresh start all the time. So I love getting rid of all the excess stuff I've accumulated over the years. Or the stuff my kids have accumulated over the years. Wish me luck!

 When I was down in Orlando last month I picked up some stuff from Forema Boutique. This was one of my favorite tops from there. I love the floral with the black. One of my favorite combinations. It's very feminine but edgy too! I paired it with some high waisted jeans and black booties and called it a day! Love how it came out.

I'm loving the velvet trend right now. I definitely rocked some velvet back in the day. It's always funny how trends get recycled over and over again. It makes it hard to ever get rid of anything because it might come back into style. I chose a neutral color so it could be paired with other bold items like this cardigan. I love mixing the textures together it makes the outfit that much more intriguing. Pair that with a different color bootie and you got magic. What's your favorite trend right now?
