12 days of Christmas Outfits: Day 6 {Emerald green}

 When I first bought this jumpsuit this is the outfit I envisioned. I've been waiting for over a year for this jacket! I finally snagged and I love it. Gorgeous color, velvet, and snazzy details. This if my favorite jumpsuit to wear all year long. It's so comfy and flattering. You can pair it with honestly anything for any holiday.

Belated Mothers day Post

I was so busy enjoying my mothers day with my little family. I never got to post about it. That's a good thing right? Well Mothers day has always been special for me and my kids. I found out I was pregnant with Ri on mothers day. Then I found out I was pregnant with Caleb Mothers day weekend.
I'm so glad our church decided to do baby dedication on Mothers day this year. So we got to get up with our church family and dedicate these sweet babies.
The rest of the day was a lazy day hanging out together but it was beautiful weather!
Couldn't have asked for a better day!

Leopard Love

If you know me you know I love leopard. I even got the girls on the worship team at church to follow suit.
I love that it never goes out of style. I got this cute top on clearance along with these pants. I'm in love they are some of the most comfortable pants I have and they got pockets. I went back to the store just to get them in black.
Great and airy for summer and transitional to Fall.
Paired it with this distressed oversized denim jacket. A lot of neutrals and they always go so nice together.

Happy Hump Day !!

Overzealous

 It's been awhile I know. Life has been busy and I'm contemplating taking a break from the blogging world. It's just been hard to give my all on one thing when my focus is split all the time.

It's now summer and I've been cramming a lot of plans in to make up for last year. I hope you all are doing the same. It's almost like life is getting back to normal a little bit. We are officially allowed to take off our masks in most places. I went into Target the other day with no mask. It felt weird and it wasn't long before I put it back on again. I just don't know what I'm supposed to do. I'm sure that's the case with a lot of you. Especially in the states that are more behind then other states.

It's almost like we've lived to separate lives here in Colorado. Our first year was so different with everyone being stuck at home. Trying to navigate all that. We had no friends yet. Everything was closed there were no cars on the street. It was like living in the twilight zone. Now sports are happening again. The streets are busy. They are doing concerts and festivals and all other kinds of events. Tickets for flights have gone way up again. It's insane!

I'm hoping to get some summer posts up for you to share all the things we have planned.

I'm heading back into the studio in a couple weeks. Going on a mission trip to Mexico. Kids are doing summer camp. That's just in JUNE. I may have gotten over zealous with the summer plans.

Life is short right?

Cheers to 2020

I'm writing this on the last day in my house before they pack up my computer.
I've had a good long break from blogging and even some social media. I've had some time to reevaluate things. I'm implementing some new things this year. It's not only a new year but a new decade. I'm saying goodbye to the old ways, the old way of thinking. Making a conscious effort to reach goals, personal and professional.
The changes you will see right off the bat are within this blog. I've been doing this blog for about 8 years. From the beginning it was a creative outlet for me. I loved sharing my personal style, my hobbies, home decor, and family adventures.  Then I started getting wrapped in what I should be posting, how often I should be posting,  a "keeping up with the Jones's mentality." Even getting caught up with the copycatters out there. As frustrating as all that can be it deterred me from my passion. I shied away from what brought me into this world in the first place. I doubted myself, I compared myself, I've felt left out and even invisible.
This life has the ups and downs and the good and the bad.
So here we are in 2020. New year. New Rules!
I am pushing out Fashion Friday. I am now going to be posting whenever and whatever I want. I am still going to post the favorites. Fashion of course, but also some new elements.
So goodbye Georgia!
You've been good to me.
I took big steps here. I stepped out of my comfort zones. I grew a lot, I challenged myself. Watched my kids grow. Next time you will be seeing me I will be at our next duty station.
In the mean time you can still follow on instagram @ashley.reed or @ashleyreedmusic

Fashion Friday {Ring in the New Year}

We are now officially in the last few days of 2018. The weird, strange days between Christmas and New Years that we just don't know what to do with. You all can relate! I don't even know what day it is. We didn't go anywhere for the holidays so it's been a long vacation at home. Can you say cabin fever? What are your new year plans?
