Fashion Friday {Good Friday}

I can't believe it's the last weekend of March already! I'm excited because it's another month down in this deployment. That also means two more months of school then its spring break! I'm half excited about that! Excited about being able to sleep in. Not excited because my kids are getting older and also now I have to occupy them. That feels like a lot of work. Can I get an Amen from my fellow stay-at-home moms!? We don't have major Easter plans church, egg hunts the usual!

Fashion Friday {Still Thirty-ish, Flirty and thriving}

This week was my birthday! I didn't even leave my house. Except for my daughters piano lesson and ordering pizza so I didn't have to cook. It was a pretty uneventful day but still nice. I guess the older you get the less fuss you need over your birthday. NAH!! I will always need a fuss! I love doing birthdays big! I'm glad I timed it right with going to California to record in a recording studio for the first time ever. Literally the best way I could think of to celebrate my birthday besides being with my family. Which my kids sang happy birthday to me and put a candle {with my help of course} into a plate full of brownies and we watched a mystery movie. It was the cutest thing ever! Life in your thirties can't be that bad right?

Fashion Friday {Velvet Obsession}

Is anyone else totally obsessed with velvet these days? I was back in the day and still am. I love that it is it's turn for a comeback! There's really any excuse for wearing velvet especially for the holidays. I love this yellow gold mustard color. It was love as at first sight in the store.

I've been so busy with the holiday season stuff that I didn't even get a chance to post last week. Yikes! I've also been in potty training season so that's literally been taking all of my focus. I got two weeks to finish the year out strong! At our house it's also birthday palooza! This weekend we are celebrating our little man turning 3! It goes way too fast! Only a couple more years and he will be in school. Then what will I do with my time?

On a side note my music is almost ready to record so I've been planning my trip to the recording studio. Which I'm so excited about it's hard to think about anything else!

Fashion Friday

It's my last weekend before I'm off to Dallas! I've been so nervous but this last week I've had this peace. I'm done worrying and stressing about it. I'm just going to do me. That's all I can do right? Be myself and do my best.

Fashion Friday {Casual Friday}

It's officially summer vacation for us here in Georgia. So now I have to get used to a whole new routine. I wish I was more organized and had things planned in advance. But these first couple days have just been me celebrating the fact that I don't have set an alarm. However, my toddler decided to volunteer for that job. I'm hoping next week I will have gotten my act together. But with the husband coming home that might not happen. They all like to throw me for a loop when they are all at home at the same time. They all demand my attention at all times. So if you don't hear from me next week you know why. I've been kidnapped by my family. Ha!

WOW two trends in one top. How do they do it!? HA! I love this choker top with the rose applique. It's so comfortable! I love being comfortable. It's perfect for spring with a little bit of edge.

A little update on the Model and Talent Expo. I leave in 32 days. I've picked my song, original song, monologue and two-person scene. I'm not going to lie. I'm a bit nervous. Actually, I'm really nervous. I've dealt with stage fright all my life. I feel like Meena in the movie SING. Super shy and nervous and really scared to put myself out there. Doing this instagram project was supposed to help with that. It has helped a little bit. It's still there for sure. What type of things do you to calm your nerves?

Fashion Friday {90's Boho}

I put two trends together for this look. Since I did grow up in the 90's some of those trends are still pretty vivid in my mind. Plus my love for boho fashion. Voila! I just paired this lace top with a sleeveless flowy summer dress and my faux fur vest. I like to pair my summer pieces with fall/winter pieces. I get a lot more use out of the pieces that way. What's your favorite 90's trend?

A trend that I hope never goes away. Well even if it did I wouldn't care. I would still wear them. I feel like I was born in the wrong decade. These bell bottom pants from wet seal are so comfy. Like not wearing anything at all. They are like a second skin. I love pairing brighter colors with black and white. I love the contrast. What's your favorite trend right now?
