Family time ... all the time

I realized that I never got around to sharing our most recent family pictures. We got them done right before we moved and then it was just absolute chaos. I wanted to get pictures of my favorite live oak trees with spanish moss. It's one of the things I miss a lot. The mountains are great here but I love these trees. Here are a few of my favorites from our session with Kate Laraine Photography

         Funny thing about this picture. There was an alligator apparently right behind us and we didn’t even know. That’s Georgia for you folks. We joked later because Evan wanted to go find it when we were all done. We were almost “That Family” on the news about a dumb guy hunting alligators after his family pictures and then got eaten. Luckily, we all survived.

Birthday Pictures

I like to take the kids birthday pictures every year. I love to see the changes in their features year by year. The differences in their personalities and their smiles. Not to mention their hair is always growing! I keep getting later and later. I'm so behind!
We finally got some time to head over to J.F Gregory Park to take some pictures. As a photographer I tend to have more patience with my clients. They seem to work better for me. My own kids... a pain in the butt. The little man being two years old now he was much more interested in the dirt and rocks. Riley being eight now wanted to be moody. I had to dig deep for some funny memories and jokes to get her to laugh. With the help of my husband we managed to get what I wanted. I can't believe how fast they are growing. It makes me sad and happy at the same time. As a mommy do you ever just stare at your babies. They are so beautiful and innocent. I love seeing which characteristics they get from me and which ones from my husband. These babies were made from true love and I adore them! I can't get enough of those faces!

He's crazy strong for a two year old!

Passion

You may know by now that I am a wife, mom, blogger etc.
If you have have explored my blog you may have even seen that I'm a photographer. This is a huge passion of mine and recently I had an awesome mentoring session with Kathleen clipper. She totally inspired me to focus more on the style of photography that I love the most. {Fashion Photography} I love being able to be in a more creative setting.
This is one of my photo shoots that I did as a part of a series on true beauty.

Family Love

While on vacation recently we got the chance to do family pictures. Finally! It had been over a year and as a photographer it's important to me that we capture our love and growth. I can't believe how big Riley is getting already and how fast the time flies by. I'm so glad that we have these photos to remember all of our special moments. I know pretty mushy right? That's what happens when you are a mom though! Family photos are so important for that very reason. I'm just glad they cooperate with my vision. But my little family are naturals in front of the camera though! Probably because I'm constantly taking their picture. We were so lucky to have our friend and fellow photographer Kristen take them. She has taken them for the last few years. Even though she is a wedding photographer now. She makes an exception! Thankfully!

I love editorial/fashion photography so I wanted to incorporate this time. I love planning our outfits and locations just like I would a styled shoot!
Here are just a few of my favorites. All photos taken by Kristen Booth Photography It was sooo hard to pick only a few too!.

{Mommy and Me}

I just got my photos back from my little Mother's day session. I've always wanted some photos with just me and my baby girl. She's my mini me and we are two peas in a pod. She makes me laugh, she makes me smile. We have a lot of fun together. We are constantly having dance parties, snuggling on the couch having movie nights. What she loves to do most is take pictures with me though. Or more like having me take pictures of her. She's such a little model and loves to pose for the camera. She's the sweetest too! At four years old she's already so thoughtful and cares about other people and gets along with everybody! She's always got the biggest smile on her face. She's such a precious gift to me and her daddy. I could never live without her smiling face.
