Overzealous

 It's been awhile I know. Life has been busy and I'm contemplating taking a break from the blogging world. It's just been hard to give my all on one thing when my focus is split all the time.

It's now summer and I've been cramming a lot of plans in to make up for last year. I hope you all are doing the same. It's almost like life is getting back to normal a little bit. We are officially allowed to take off our masks in most places. I went into Target the other day with no mask. It felt weird and it wasn't long before I put it back on again. I just don't know what I'm supposed to do. I'm sure that's the case with a lot of you. Especially in the states that are more behind then other states.

It's almost like we've lived to separate lives here in Colorado. Our first year was so different with everyone being stuck at home. Trying to navigate all that. We had no friends yet. Everything was closed there were no cars on the street. It was like living in the twilight zone. Now sports are happening again. The streets are busy. They are doing concerts and festivals and all other kinds of events. Tickets for flights have gone way up again. It's insane!

I'm hoping to get some summer posts up for you to share all the things we have planned.

I'm heading back into the studio in a couple weeks. Going on a mission trip to Mexico. Kids are doing summer camp. That's just in JUNE. I may have gotten over zealous with the summer plans.

Life is short right?

I got nothing.....

    I've been trying to think up new things to blog about. I've been having trouble. You could say its writers block. You could say I'm losing interest. It could be a combination of the two. It's not that I have nothing to say. I'm just having a hard time curating things that I feel might be interesting. It's hard to write posts when I feel like I'm talking to an empty room. Is blogging becoming obsolete? Should I just focus more on my social media. People seem to like short and sweet videos over long pages of content to read. What's the world coming to these days? I like TV and Movies as much as the next person. But I do love to read and write. Are people even reading anymore? I also love discussing things. Having an open dialogue. What about you?

Comment below so I know you guys are still out there?

Days of Thankfulness

 Well today is a crazy day isn't it! We are living in the twilight zone people. I can't even with this year. It's almost over but it doesn't make me excited for next year. Then I took a double take at the date and realized it's been a whole month since I posted anything.

Oops!

It's been like this so much this year. It hasn't been a priority. I'm trying to fit all these things in and then something ends up falling through the cracks. Since it's November now I wanted to make a list of all the things good and positive this year. A few of the things I'm thankful for.

1} The family and I moved to a new place. Throw a pandemic in there and we have had tons more time together.

2} We saved enough money for my new car! {Also a result of the pandemic}You can find that post here.

3} I wrote 5 songs this year and recorded two of them. { "Waves" is out now available on all streaming platforms.}

4} Found a great church with lots of awesome new friends pretty quickly.

5} I now have an office/studio space in our new house. Super excited for the progress I'm making with it.

Fashion Friday {Date Night}

This last weekend I had the best time downtown! I was finally lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. I've lived in Georgia for a couple years now and have never done the SCAD film festival even though I've always wanted to. I randomly saw on Facebook that they were going to be premiering the first episode of my favorite show WITH a q&a panel with the cast and creators. I just about jumped out of my skin and hoped that the tickets weren't outrageously priced. I waited at my computer for the tickets to go on sale. I counted down the minutes and kept refreshing the page. I was ecstatic to see they were only $15 a ticket and it was also when my husband would be home. I couldn't believe how awesome that was!

We got there a few hours before it started hoping to have a nice dinner downtown beforehand. However, people were already lining up to go in. So we had to settle for subway since it was across the street. We got a decent spot in line and talked with other Outlander fans the whole time. They had us line up on the opposite street from where they did the red carpet. I was obviously too excited to be thinking straight because I missed that opportunity. They finally ushered us in and I scored a few seats third row back from the stage. I had never been to the Lucas theater either and it was so gorgeous I definitely want to go back again. The opposite was amazing and I can't wait for the new season to start and the cast was so amazing in person and hilarious! I loved every minute of it. Especially with my handsome husband. We definitely came full circle from him starting this show and getting me into it. Then going to Scotland on our anniversary trip and going on the Outlander tour to seeing the premiere and the cast. It's been so awesome!
