{Fashion} Floral Peasant Dress/ pros and cons of listmaking

You know what has been in my head a lot lately. Lists. Always with the lists. It came to my attention last night and into this morning as me and the hubby finished a show on our Netflix list and I was able to take it off. I'm not sure why I am this way actually. You put a list in front of me and I have to do those things on the list. Netflix titles it "My list" well that just makes me want to watch everything on there so I can check it off. This can be good and it can be bad. I did a little research on it. The positive is making lists motivate you. It helps you focus and when you cross those things you feel a sense of accomplishment. A visual, tangible thing that you can see. Also, it's a great way if you are feeling stressed by all the tasks you have to do, it really helps to be able to brain dump them on a piece of paper so you can easily see them and get them done. I feel like those are the main reasons I do the lists.

The bad however, it's hard to be present. You are always thinking of either making lists or checking things off your list. It's easy to become obsessed with feeling productive. I am definitely guilty of those things. It's hard to stop in the middle of being productive to eat food, or go to the bathroom. You feel like you are on a roll and you can't stop. You want to keep the flow of thought, creativity, and all those great things. If it gets interrupted you lose it all.

That can also be the result of a creative person though too. Still figuring that all out.
Some good advice that I did hear in terms of being productive and list making. Is make shorter lists. A list of 3-5 things to only accomplish that day. That will help to make the list less overwhelming as well. Have I taken this advice yet? No ...not at all. My list just keeps getting longer. I even find myself doing things and getting them done but they weren't on my list. So I will actually write them on my lists just so I can check them off. It's still being productive right? So, why not?

Are you obsessed with making lists like I am?
Or are you normal? Please tell me I'm not the only one?

Side note:
I wanted to add more interesting content with my outfit posts. So this is todays outfit. A floral peasant dress. Paired with a leather moto jacket, faux leather booties, and fedora fat.

Real Talk

I'm ready for some normalcy. I feel like I've been stuck in this house for years. I know I have done some traveling. I'm getting ready for my 4th trip out of the home in a couple of weeks. But it still feels like I have cabin fever. Maybe it's the uncertainty of things still. "I want to go to this place but are they open?" and "What are the new hours of this place?" or "Why are the store still out of stock of so many things?" I can't even get my kids some shorts because I can't find them. You can't try anything on so you have to make multiple trips back to the store to return things. Only to find they are now out of stock of all those items. I know, I know real world problems here. There are people dying all over the country. There are people out of jobs and yes Black lives do matter!
There's a call for some normalcy and a call for some change. This is the most chaotic, abnormal, strange, anxious, depressing year ever.
We leave in this new uncertainty. This is our new normal. All those feelings I just mentioned. That's how I felt this whole week. I swung my mood around so crazy my own head was spinning.
Now that I'm coming back down to my own reality. I am realizing some things.
You have to fight for the good not just for other people. For yourself, in yourself. It's literally a constant battle. We are taking a hard look at ourselves and we have to fight to change it. Change all the negative in your life. Even the negative you tell yourself when you're alone. You whisper it to yourself. You hear the words in your head.

Stop comparing.
Stop criticizing.
You are not a failure.
Block and shut down the things that trigger you. Trigger those bad feelings.
Confront the bad feelings in a relationship.
Take everything one step at a time.
Be productive in the smallest things.
Be optimistic instead of pessimistic.
Feel the joy in everything around you.

Walk, run, sleep, watch a sunset/sunsrise
Plan a trip
Make something/ Be creative
Dance
Laugh.

Matthew 11:28
Come to me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest for your souls.

1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Hebrews 4:11
Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest so that no one will fall.

...and well all else fails turn your dress into a duster/vest/jacket.

Have a great weekend all!

Black Fashion Friday

Thanksgiving weekend is here and it's Black Friday. I have said it numerous times. I am not a black friday shopper. I love a good deal but I am not a big crowd person if I can help it. I am also not a big line person either. I would rather do my shopping online. Who knows what today holds for me but I am hoping it involves some reclining seats and some movie popcorn to see Fantastic Beasts.
I hope everyone's thanksgiving went amazing and  you guys are all recovering at home in bed. My long weekend is turning into a long flight back to California to finish recording my EP. I'm hoping this time will be better and we can get some stuff done. Prayers Please!

Fashion Friday {Meadows and Reeds}

It's June ! You guys! It's June already we are almost halfway done with 2018 already. Why is it when we get older time just flies by faster and faster? Time and age is a funny thing. I recently just did this bible study on the first 11 chapters of Genesis! It totally blew my mind. I grew up in church and there were things in there I didn't even know! I probably never paid attention or no one ever taught on it. It was a week by week study by Jen Wilkin called God of Creation. You can jump on this study in a couple weeks and I highly recommend it. Follow this link God of Creation Study
I learned that people used to live for over thousands of years. Can you believe that? We get all excited for people living to be 100 years old. I also learned how long it actually took Noah to build the ark. The purpose of time and age meant something. That got me really fired up. That God has this purpose for those kinds of things. It's all meticulously planned it and we have no idea. All we can see is what's right in front of us. Or where we are going for summer vacation. God knows that already! Each week I was like {MIND BLOWN}.
I hope you are having a great week. Here's to a great weekend!
