Days of Thankfulness

 Well today is a crazy day isn't it! We are living in the twilight zone people. I can't even with this year. It's almost over but it doesn't make me excited for next year. Then I took a double take at the date and realized it's been a whole month since I posted anything.

Oops!

It's been like this so much this year. It hasn't been a priority. I'm trying to fit all these things in and then something ends up falling through the cracks. Since it's November now I wanted to make a list of all the things good and positive this year. A few of the things I'm thankful for.

1} The family and I moved to a new place. Throw a pandemic in there and we have had tons more time together.

2} We saved enough money for my new car! {Also a result of the pandemic}You can find that post here.

3} I wrote 5 songs this year and recorded two of them. { "Waves" is out now available on all streaming platforms.}

4} Found a great church with lots of awesome new friends pretty quickly.

5} I now have an office/studio space in our new house. Super excited for the progress I'm making with it.

Fashion Friday

 How is it already November?! There's literally 52 days left of this year. This has been such a crazy year. I started out this year dropping my very first EP in February. It's been a slow and steady pace since then. I have learned that the music business is very slow. It's a constant waiting game. In fact it was until this week that I finally wrote a song for another artist. That sounds so crazy to me. It's definitely a new experience. It's hard to put time and effort into something creative just to give it away to someone else. I'm learning to cope with it. Because that's part of the gig of being a songwriter. At least that's what I've been telling myself. All singer/songwriters do it! Avril Lavigne wrote for Kelly Clarkson, Jessie J wrote for Miley Cyrus. I can do this!!
Until the next track comes along...... Who knows what the future holds for me. #Dreamsdonthavedeadlines

On a side note. This whole outfit is from Ross!! I can't say it enough. Ross is my jam!! I love cute, on trend affordable fashion. This military wife/artist needs things to be affordable!

Fashion Friday

I'm back after taking a little break to enjoy my release party, birthday and Valentine's day weekend. It was nice to kind of unplug for a little while and experience life. So now I'm back again another year older not sure about being wiser though. I've learned about patience this last year and about perfect timing. Simple things to learn but so very important. I'm continuously learning to be comfortable in my own skin. Clinging to this who build me up and staying away from the ones who tear me down.
Well look at that I did learn some things. Maybe I am wiser in my "older" age.
I hope you guys are out there learning some great life lessons too!
Happy Friday!

Fashion Friday

 I'm preparing to leave for California next week to finish up recording my EP! I'm so excited, stressed, running around all crazy. Basically the normal! So much work and planning went into this and it's a lot of puzzle pieces to maneuver! But I couldn't be more happy with how things turned out or are turning out! I'm just super anxious for it to be here already. 4 more days til I leave! Make sure you follow me on @ashleyreedmusic so you can see all the behind the scenes stuff. That's always super fun! I can't wait!! Oh and October 1st is when my single will be released! It's all finally happening! AAhhhhhhh! I hope you guys are excited too!
