Fashion Friday {New beginnings}

It's April. Spring is in full swing by now for most of the country. How are you feeling about it? Are you bombarded by pollen and can't see past your watery eyes? Are you enjoying the nice weather and all the flowers in bloom? The promise of a new beginning. Either way I hope you can appreciate the constant of the seasons changing. No matter how hard it rains there's something new that always comes from it. There's always hope! Stop and smell the roses and all that. There's so much around us to bring us joy. Find the joy and cling to it!

...and with that said this weeks look!

Fashion Friday {Spring Equinox}

 Spring is here!!! I think Spring is my favorite season. Minus my seasonal allergies of course. I love the colors, I love the weather, I love the new beginnings outlook on life. I know I'm super cheesy! I also can't believe how quickly these weeks are going by. I barely have a moment to breathe.
We are currently full swing into potty training Mr. C. If you know what that life is like you know that I have no life right now. We technically started last summer and he's been going back and forth with it. Now we are going for it which means we stay at home and barely go anywhere. When we do go out we are risking a lot with no pull-ups. This might be boring to hear but I'm sure someone out there can relate to this mom struggle.
On the creative side I am putting in effort into redecorating my daughter's room. It's slowly coming together and I love getting back into these kind of projects. While I sit and impatiently wait for my music to be finished. I am literally the biggest impatient person you will ever meet probably. So this is torture for me. Torture I tell you!!
I need some ideas to pass the time. Leave them below in the comments!

Happy Friday !

Fashion Friday: {Army Wife Strong}

One month down of the husbands deployment. So far I've been taking care of business like a boss. First on the agenda drive myself and the kids to Alabama to visit family. To be honest only the second road trip by myself with the kids. I got it down to a T now! Lots of downloaded movies on ipad, lots of music, lots of snacks.

Second on the agenda was go to California to have my dreams come true. Hence, me being missing in action for the last couple weeks. If you have been following my journey you would know it started almost two years ago. I went to Nashville for my friends for my birthday. I decided right then no more of this woe is me business. If I wanted to get anywhere I would have to take the first baby step. It was a baby step but it felt like a huge step for me. I started an instagram challenge when I got home. I would sing every day for a year and post it. Talk about it putting yourself out there. It was scary but so rewarding. It lead to change my approach in songwriting. I started really fine tuning my skills and finding my niche of music. It paid off because my next step was going to the Model and Talent Expo. Every one of my baby steps lead me to this place I'm in now. I met C-Ray and Marc of OnKey Entertainment and Indasoul Entertainment. I couldn't have asked for a better team to work with. They don't try and make me into something I'm not. They encourage and support my ideas and my talent. I can't wait to share my new music with everyone. Thank you guys for all the support and love you've given me thus far!

Have a great weekend!!

P.S If this place looks familiar to you it's because it was used in the movie Big Fish

Fashion Friday {Velvet Obsession}

Is anyone else totally obsessed with velvet these days? I was back in the day and still am. I love that it is it's turn for a comeback! There's really any excuse for wearing velvet especially for the holidays. I love this yellow gold mustard color. It was love as at first sight in the store.
I've been so busy with the holiday season stuff that I didn't even get a chance to post last week. Yikes! I've also been in potty training season so that's literally been taking all of my focus. I got two weeks to finish the year out strong! At our house it's also birthday palooza! This weekend we are celebrating our little man turning 3! It goes way too fast! Only a couple more years and he will be in school. Then what will I do with my time?

On a side note my music is almost ready to record so I've been planning my trip to the recording studio. Which I'm so excited about it's hard to think about anything else!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Fashion Friday {Tartan Leopard}

I'm so excited to have Fashion Friday back! I have to admit living in Hawaii left me with no motivation. Especially in the fall/winter when it's still hot. I missed the sweaters and the boots!
Now that we are mostly settled in our new home in Georgia I wanted to get back at it!

When I saw this tartan plaid poncho I fell in love. I didn't buy it the first time I saw it. But you know it's love when you go back home and can't stop thinking about it. It reminded me of my recent trip to Scotland {blog post coming soon}. It even reminded me of my favorite show Outlander. I imagined all the different outfits I could make with it. How cozy and warm it would make me in the cold weather. How great it would be to snuggle up with it and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate or my new favorite vanilla chai tea. Yes! I was having a love affair with this poncho and I hadn't even bought it yet. So I raced back to the mall and snatched it up. We've been living blissfully together ever since.
So I will formally introduce you!
Everyone meet my cozy new tartan plaid poncho!

........also on a side note. I learned my lesson with the poncho and snatched up this purse when I was at Target. It was randomly just hanging where it didn't belong. I walked right up to it checked the price and ..."HALLELUJAH" it was drastically marked down on clearance. I got that bad boy for $10! It was meant to be!  What are you loving this season?

Happy Friday everyone!
