Old Soul

 Fall is in the air. It's starting to cool down here. The snow isn't too far behind. I see some leaves start to accumulate on the ground. I'm starting to miss a New England Fall a little bit. Nothing beats New England in the Fall. The rich colors within the trees. The apple picking, and all the apple and pumpkin recipes. I got my favorite Fall/Winter Drink mix in the mail. I'm seriously contemplating bringing all my Fall decorations out and going to town!

I must restrain myself. I have one more week until the kids go back to school in person. Then I think I shall take my sweet time and enjoy the creativity, the alone time. I'm finding joy in the slowdown. The blissful contentment in taking time to create something. UNINTERRUPTED.

I'm a firm believer in having Mommy breaks. A few hours, a couple days to yourself to make sure you are rested, filled up again. I thrive on it. I'm looking forward to some of that soon.

Also excited to see what I come up with during that time.

In the meantime. Let's get into Fall!

What's your favorite Fall tradition?

{Thanksgiving ..post}

We had a pretty low key Thanksgiving went to my cousins house. Coincidentally my cousin decided to move out here around the same time that we did. We are only about an hour away from each other. She made all the food from scratch! Turkey {of course}, twice baked potato casserole, macaroni & cheese, stuffing, cranberries, corn and rolls. I'm bummed I didn't get more pictures. As you can see I settled on floral this year. I'm wearing a black maxi skirt, layered necklaces, floral tube top, and denim jacket. {Next time I will dress warmer, because my cousin loves to keep her house cold! hhaha}We later played ""Pass the Popcorn" a movie trivia game. Evan and I get so competitive, it gets really loud and crazy. Hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving as well.

{Fashion Friday}

There are so many "Fashion-esque" contests going on and I love it! I'm just joining in on as many as I can. Sad to say I've never really won anything... I think I may have some serious bad luck sometimes. I did get third place in something once.. I guess. Raffle prizes, contests, Mcdonald's monopoly game never. It makes me sad! :( I won't give up though! I did this outfit for Lulus.com contest going on right now. Perfect timing to coincide with Fashion Friday! You can vote for me here! I also have been searching other blogs and recently came across a super cute one! http://www.frillsforthrills.com  A young pastors wife and new mommy with awesome style. So check her out and follow her too!

{Fashion Friday} Mini Fashionista

We have a cute little guest for fashion friday! I decided to let this little munchkin take the spotlight for the day. Honestly, because I just can't resist such cuteness! She was very excited about the both of us wearing matching leopard today. I told her to smile and pose for me and she went to town! I'm telling you we have a future model among us. I will definitely be letting her take over fashion friday in the future.

Miss Riley's outfit {Basic tank: 77 kids, Leopard Cardigan : Old Navy, Leggings: Old Navy, Brown boots: Old Navy }

{Fashion Friday}

Happy Friday everyone!! Hope everyone is going to have an awesome weekend! My weekend is pretty jam packed.

A few more Fall shows I watched this week:

Nashville: Felt like we were starting in the middle of the season instead of the series premiere. Maybe a little too much unnecessary drama. You got have just the right amount of drama to keep me interested but not too much that it just gets annoying.

Beauty and the Beast: Seems ok, willing to watch the next episode to finally decide. Some parts seem a little bit cheesy. However, it could have the potential to get better.

.....and here's your fashion for the day! :)
