CopyCat Tuesday {Lookbook Style}

Lua P of le-happy.com

Lua P is one of my favorite bloggers. I came across this outfit awhile ago.. Something so soft and simple too it. I knew I had the similar pieces to put this outfit together. Minus the tights it's a little too hot for tights. But it made it a perfect spring outfit but is very versatile to transition to other seasons.
What's your favorite transitional outfit?

Easter Recap

I hope everyone had an awesome Easter weekend.
We had a pretty laid back weekend ourselves.
One of the perks of living on a military base is that they always have community activities.
This Easter was a big carnival and a huge egg hunt. They should actually just call it an egg race instead. Those kids went crazy for a ton of bright colored plastic eggs just thrown across the grass field. We went on a couple rides and did games and some arts and crafts. It was a good time....minus the sunburn.

Easter Sunday I made some awesome breakfast quesadillas. Just eggs, mozarella cheese, and pesto.
I think we may be addicted to pesto these days. Church, egg hunt and then a very chill hike along kaena point. Which is an awesome but really long hike around the mountains in Hawaii. We didn't make it very far with two little munchkins in tow and the sun setting quickly. But we got a sneak peek. We will probably have to attempt it again before we leave.

Fashion Friday {Pretty in Pink}

I'm loving this color for spring! It just happens to be on trend. I've always just liked what I like and then pass it the fashion magazines in the grocery store. They are just telling me that I'm on trend! Sweet! I got this crop top last year and I had yet to pair it with anything. It's a little hard to wear long sleeve anything in Hawaii. But since the cooler weather {Hawaii standard at least} I thought I would pull it out. What colors are you loving for spring?

{Our Home} Kitchen Tour

As most of you know we just moved to Hawaii. Being an army wife I'm pretty used to moving. So I wasn't too surprised when they told us they were moving us again. Now we are off to Georgia this summer! I feel kind of jipped, but I guess I got better than most people. Usually people get a week maybe two. I got to live in Hawaii for a whole year. Basically an extended vacation. So I can be happy about that. It's really been a great time so far.
The downside.....
 I wasn't done decorating my house. When you know you are going to move there's kind of no point in finishing the job.
But I would love to show what I had. We decided to live on post this time. Most of the time it's hard to fit your life and your style into the different ...sometimes oddly shaped houses on post. It's always a challenge especially the more stuff you get.

Here is our kitchen on Schofield Barracks. There was a lot more I wanted to do. I guess I will have to wait til our next house.  Hope you like it!

{Mommy Monday} Caleb Landyn turns ONE

I am so behind in blogging! There has been so much that has happened that I still want to sure. Bear with me while I catch everyone up. I must admit though. Two kids to keep up with is a little harder than I thought. It's taken me a really long time to get into a groove. I'm still not there quite yet. I don't know if having two kids has just made me scatter brained. Or if I have really lost part of my brain somewhere. Any of you other moms feel me on that??

  I survived the Birthday/Holiday Palooza! I really felt it this year. I think it was a good lesson to learn for next year. My little man having his birthday a week before Christmas is to say at the least stressful. But I made it out alive!
 I can't believe my little man is one years old!! This last year went by so fast.
We had his birthday party back in California to celebrate with the family. My brother and sister in law graciously let us use their house.
I didn't get to do as much as I wanted. I'm usually really into the details. I just seriously dropped the ball in my opinion. Plus everyone ended up sick over break anyway. Poor little guy ended up with an ear infection and an upper respiratory infection. I'm surprised we got as much done with it as we did. He had a good time.. I think!

Since his Birthday is around the holidays I wanted something a little different. Something more cozy in the winter month. So I did a chili and pie bar. Everyone had the option of a bowl, or a chili dog and their choice of pie. Caleb even got his own mini apple pie instead of cake.
I'm glad we got to all be together! What did you do for your child's first birthday
